A four-point play with 39 seconds left propelled Pacific (9-9, 2-1 WCC) over the University of San Diego men's basketball team (8-9, 1-2 WCC) on Thursday, 84-82. With 5.6 seconds to go, Jase Townsend grabbed a rebound, dribbled up the floor, and narrowly missed the game-winning three-pointer. Fifth year guard Marcellus Earlington led the Toreros with 21 points and nine rebounds. He shot 8-of-17 from the floor and 5-of-5 from the free throw line. Sophomore Deuce Turner scored a season-high 14 points, including 4-of-7 from long range. In his 100th career game, Sigu Sisoho Jawara scored his 1,000th career point, adding 13 tonight. He is the fifth player on USD's roster to claim the milestone. Townsend ended with 12 points, eight rebounds, and four assists in the loss.
