FAIRFAX, Calif. — Another Top-10 finish from
Andi Xu headlined San Diego golf's efforts at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational this week at the Meadow Club (Par 71, 6,734 yards).
Xu carded rounds of 67, 70, and 65 strokes to secure a tie for ninth place in the event, doing so with a total of 202 shots that were 11 under par. He has finished in the Top 10 in two of his last three tournaments after earning a seventh-place finish at the USF Howard Intercollegiate on September 19.
As a whole the Toreros placed 10th out of 14 teams, recording rounds of 277, 282, and 278 for a total of 837 strokes that had them 15 under par.
Ryan Abuan was next behind Xu, finished tied for 20th after turning in a six-under 207 (69, 68, 70).
Kelvin Si joined Abuan in the Top 50, setting forth a one-under 212 (70, 72, 70).
Carson Enright finished the tournament tied for 58th after recording 216 strokes (71, 72, 73) that had him three over par.
Craig Ronne rounded out the the Toreros' team results with a seven-over 220 (72, 73, 75) that placed him in a tie for 71st.
Michael Behr finished in 75th place while competing as an individual after rounds of 80, 70, and 72 (222) that were nine over par.
The Toreros are back in action on Monday, October 30, when they conclude their Fall 2023 schedule with play in the Cal Poly Invitational at The Preserve Golf Club in Carmel, California.
