SAN DIEGO – The San Diego men's soccer program (8-4-2, 2-1-0 WCC) is set to welcome another top program to Torero Stadium, hosting LMU (6-2-5, 1-1-1 WCC) in a key conference battle on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Toreros were unable to recover from an early deficit and would ultimately fall at No. 12 Portland on Saturday night.
- Owen Wiebe would record his first goal of the season on assists from Samy Kanaan and Ross Johnstone.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- San Diego is seeking to become the WCC's first repeat champion since Saint Mary's in 2018 and 2019.
- The Toreros currently stand in a tie for second place, with a matchup looming on Saturday against first-place Santa Clara.
- The Toreros rank 17th in the nation in total assists (31), while also ranking 44th in total points (77).
- In addition, the Toreros rank 23rd nationally in assists per game (2.14) and 45th in points per game (5.62).
- San Diego already has 31 assists, far surpassing last season's mark, as the Toreros have spread the wealth between 14 players.

- Mason Tunbridge now has 33 points in his last 35 games, dating back to Nov. 5, 2021 against Pacific.
- Tunbridge also ranks 37th in the nation in assists (six).
- San Diego is undefeated when scoring two or more goals and scoring first so far this season.
- The Toreros have only lost two games in the last three seasons when they lead at halftime.
