- The Toreros maintained total control from start to finish, cruising to a 92-38 win over Chapman on opening night.

- Nevertheless, Neubert returns after an All-WCC Honorable Mention season, where she averaged nearly a double-double at 9.2 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game.
- Neubert is already off to a hot start, tallying the seventh double-double of her career in the win over Chapman.
- Also returning is Veronica Sheffey, who was named to the All-WCC Freshman Team last year and will play a key role this season.
