DELAND, FL — After suffering a tough overtime loss to St. Thomas last weekend, San Diego football (3-7, 3-4 PFL) will look to end the 2023 season on a high note this Saturday against Stetson as Pioneer Football League play continues at Spec Martin Memorial Stadium.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST STETSON
• USD is a perfect 9-0 against the Hatters all-time.
• The last time the two teams met was on Nov. 20, 2021, when San Diego beat to Stetson by a score of 41-16 at Spec Martin Memorial Stadium.
• Due to circumstances caused by Hurricane Ian, San Diego's home matchup against Stetson in 2022 was canceled and not rescheduled.
LAST TIME OUT – St. Thomas 20, San Diego 14 (OT) - Torero Stadium
• San Diego scored a game-tying touchdown with 12:55 remaining in the fourth quarter last Saturday afternoon but could not hang on to secure a Senior Day win over St. Thomas, falling to the Tommies by a 20-14 margin in overtime at Torero Stadium.
How It Happened
• St. Thomas struck first with a five-yard touchdown pass in the final seconds of the first quarter to establish an early 7-0 lead.
• San Diego answered back as the second half wound down with a short touchdown strike of its own, tying the game at 7-7 after quarterback

• The Tommies utilized a 37-yard rushing touchdown to reestablish its lead with less than a minute left in the second quarter, sending the Toreros to the break trailing 14-7.

Isaiah Williams punched in a three-yard rushing touchdown at the 12:55 mark in the third quarter, knotting the score at 14-14.
• USD missed a 28-yard field goal attempt in the first possession of overtime and St. Thomas capitalized on its ensuing field position, scoring a game-winning, 16-yard rushing touchdown on third down to earn a 20-14 victory.

• On November 5th, he joined his twin Amir in receiving a PFL Defensive Player of the Week selection, making it back-to-back weekly conference honors for the Wallace brothers
• Is set to graduate with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Communications
RASHAAN WARD (WIDE RECEIVER)
• Has been a constant for the Toreros across the last five seasons, playing in 29 games while totaling 165 receiving yards and 34 rushing yards
• Is set to graduate with an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management
JAYDEN WICKWARE (LINEBACKER)
• Joined USD after graduating from Princeton, and quickly became one of the Toreros' most dynamic defensive players
• In his single season in San Diego he has compiled 41 tackles, 10.5 tackles for losses, six sacks, and one interception

ISAIAH WILLIAMS (RUNNING BACK)
• Since joining the Toreros from Southern Utah University he has become a dominant force for San Diego on offense, racking up a team-high 941 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns alongside 117 receiving yards and one touchdown reception
