SAN DIEGO – For the second time this season, the San Diego women's basketball program (3-3, 0-0 WCC) will head out on the road for a brief trip, facing Nevada (4-2, 0-0 MWC) on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT

• The Toreros went 1-1 overall during the hosting of The Dana on Mission Bay Thanksgiving Tournament, defeating Weber State and falling to UNLV.
• Game one was headlined by Veronica Sheffey, who matched a career-high with 17 points in the win over Weber State.
• Game two was more of an offensive struggle, but Mila Wawszkowicz shined with seven points on two three pointers and earned WCC Co-Freshman of the Week honors.

 
OPPONENT HISTORY

• San Diego is 9-3 all-time against the Wolfpack and are seeking their sixth consecutive win against the team.
• Last season, the Toreros earned a big, 68-62, victory at the Jenny Craig Pavilion during the USD Winter Classic.

• Through six games, the Toreros are the WCC leader in three-point field goal defense, limiting opponents to just 24.7 percent from beyond the arc.
• The Toreros rank second in the WCC in overall field goal defense at 37.8 percent.
• Kaur ranks 39th in the nation and second in the WCC in blocks per game (1.83).
• San Diego was picked to finish fifth in the WCC Preseason Poll this season.
• The Toreros feature five newcomers, as transfers Dylan Horton (Florida A&M) and Maddie Vejsicky (Virginia Tech) join the three incoming freshmen Lauren McCall, Malia Tharpe and Mila Wawszkowicz.
• After just one road game in their first six games, the Toreros will play three of the next four on the road.
