SAN DIEGO — Head coach
Jennifer Petrie on Wednesday announced the signing of two incoming freshmen who will join the San Diego volleyball team for the 2024 season.
The Toreros are set to welcome outside hitter Izzy Clark (Orange County, California), and setter Kylie Munday (Post Falls, Idaho).
IZZY CLARK: Outside Hitter // Orange County, California // Mater Dei High School
- Totaled nearly 350 kills this fall at Mater Dei High School as she led her team to a 38-2 record
- Earned All-Trinity League First Team and All-CIF honors
- Was named to the MaxPreps Player of the Year Watchlist and received Most Valuable Player recognition at the VolleyPalooza in Texas
- Also played basketball in high school

"Isabel Clark is one of the most dominant and terminal outsides in the 2024 class. Her ability to take over matches and score points is impressive. Not only is she lethal at the pin, but she also has great ball control and defensive skills. Izzy will make an immediate impact for us in San Diego and will push our gym to an even higher competitive level."
KYLIE MUNDAY: Setter // Post Falls, Idaho // Post Falls High School
- Is the all-time kills leader at Post Falls high school after recording more than 1,500
- Ranks in the all-time Top 10 of all five major statistical categories at Post Falls
- Was named her high school team's Newcomer of the Year as a freshman before earning three consecutive MVP player honors as a sophomore, junior and senior
- Earned a first-team all-state selection as a junior
- Led her team to a fourth-place finish in the Idaho state high school postseason as a sophomore and a third-place finish as both a junior and senior
FROM COACH PETRIE: "Kylie is an extremely well rounded athlete. Playing both as setter and right-side hitter in high school and club, she has many tools to contribute to our program. Kylie is a born leader, and gifted with supreme athleticism. Competitive, passionate and hard driven, Kylie is a welcome addition to the Torero family."
