SAN DIEGO – Interim Executive Director of Athletics
Ky Snyder announced today that
Louise Lieberman will not return as the women's head soccer coach.
"We have decided to make a change in the leadership of women's soccer and Louise Lieberman will not return as head coach" said Snyder. "While our on-field success was not what we had hoped, we deeply appreciate Louise's service to USD over the past seven years, and we extend our best wishes for her future endeavors."
Lieberman spent seven seasons at the helm of the program. Under her leadership, five players took home All-WCC first or second team honors, led by
Amber Michel winning 2019 WCC Goalkeeper of the Year, with several more earning honorable mention or All-Freshman distinctions.
A national search for the next head coach of San Diego women's soccer will commence immediately.
