No. 6 USC Awaits Women’s Basketball on Sunday

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego women's basketball program (3-4, 0-0 WCC) is set to matchup with their first ranked opponent of the season, traveling north to face No. 6 USC (6-0, 0-0 PAC-12) on Sunday at 3 p.m., at the Galen Center.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Toreros got career-highs from both Veronica Sheffey and Courtney Wristen, but fell, 76-63 at Nevada on Wednesday afternoon.
  • Wristen shined with 17 points and eight rebounds, while Sheffey tallied a team-high 18 points to lead the Torero offense.
 
OPPONENT HISTORY
  • San Diego is seeking their first win against USC and trail 0-4 in the all-time series.
  • The Toreros stayed with the Trojans all game last season, but fell 58-50 in the matchup at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
 
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
  • Assistant coach Jualeah Woods will face off against her alma mater for the second time as a Torero and for the first time at USC.
