The Tigers earned the doubles point with wins at No. 2 (6-3) and No. 3 (6-3).
San Diego answered with three straight singles wins, including
Elizabeth Goldsmith at No. 3,
Abigail Desiatnikov at No. 4, and
Jordyn McBride at No. 6.
Auburn tied the match at 3-3 with singles wins at No. 5 and No. 1, setting up the clinch at No. 2. In a back-and-forth battle, #103 Carolyn Ansari left with the 7-6 (5) victory.
