SAN DIEGO – The University of San Diego men's tennis team improved to 3-0 in WCC play on Sunday, defeating Santa Clara, 4-1.
 
The Toreros clinched the doubles point with wins at No. 1 (Sacchitt Sharrma/Iiro Vasa) and No. 3 (Stian Klaassen/Marvin Schaber).
 
In singles, freshman Neo Niedner raced to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6. After Santa Clara earned a victory at No. 1, USD answered with wins at No. 4 (Schaber) and No. 5 (Klaassen).
 
San Diego improves to 5-3 (3-0 WCC), and will continue conference play at Portland on Friday.
