SAN DIEGO – After dropping the doubles point, the No. 39 University of San Diego women's tennis team earned four straight singles wins to upend No. 21 Oklahoma, 4-1.
The Sooners earned the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3.
Abigail Desiatnikov raced to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles to lock the match at 1-1.
Claudia De Las Heras followed with a 6-1, 7-5 victory at No. 2 over #106 Carmen Corley.
After
Jordyn McBride produced a 6-3, 7-6 (4) win at No. 6,
Elizabeth Goldsmith clinched the overall victory at No. 3 over #64 Dana Guzman, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3.
San Diego improves to 6-6 on the season, and will host Gonzaga tomorrow to continue WCC play.
