SAN DIEGO – The No. 39 University of San Diego women's tennis team improved to 2-0 in WCC play on Sunday afternoon, sweeping Gonzaga, 7-0.
San Diego earned the doubles point with a 6-4 win at No. 2 (
Claudia De Las Heras and
Jordyn McBride) and a 7-5 margin at No. 1 (#12 Kailey and
Elizabeth Goldsmith).
The Toreros then won all six singles matches in straight sets.
San Diego improves to 7-6 (2-0 WCC) on the season, and will host BYU on Friday.
