SAN DIEGO – Head coach Brian Quinn and the San Diego men's soccer program have officially signed 10 players to the incoming 2023 recruiting class, as the program announced on Monday.
 
The class ranks 20th overall in the nation according to TopDrawerSoccer and features a highly decorated group set to join several transfers as newcomers for the 2023 season.
 
"I am delighted with the freshman class, as they have brought a freshness and winning mentality to our team," said Quinn. "All of them have the ability to play and make a contribution but our returning players are focused and determined to keep their starting spot. Our preseason camp will be exciting and competitive."
 
THESEAS ELEFTHERIADIS
Height: 6'4"
Position: Defender
Hometown/High School: Berkeley, CA / Berkeley HS
Club: Lamorinda SC
Career Highlights:

• Trained with top Greek side PAOK in the UEFA youth league academy.
• Also trained with USL League Two side San Francisco City FC.
• Served as captain of his club's soccer team.

Other Notes:

• He is a dual citizen of the United States and Greece and fluent in three languages.
• His godfather, Ilias Illiadis, played soccer for Doxa Dramas in Greece.

 
JAXSON FINDLAY
Height: 6'1"
Position: Forward
Hometown/High School: Henderson, NV / Coronado HS
Club: Heat FC
Career Highlights:

• Named an All-State honoree at Coronado High School.
• Also named an ECNL All-Star during his time with Heat FC.

Other Notes:

• Father, Justin, ran cross country and track & field at the University of San Francisco.
• Also related to former UNLV basketball player Clifford Findlay and former Brown basketball player Robby Findlay.

 
VOLODYMYR KUBRAKOV
Height: 5'10"
Position: Midfield
Hometown/High School: Luhansk, Ukraine / Mountainside HS (OR)
Club: Portland Timbers Academy / Portland Timbers 2
Career Highlights:

• Made his professional debut with Portland Timbers 2 of MLS Next Pro.
• Played in nine games with the team, making five starts over 506 minutes.
• Scored a goal in a charity match that was designed to raise money to help UNICEF's relief efforts in his native Ukraine.

• Named his high school's student of the month.

 
CODY LINDEMAN
Height: 6'0"
Position: Goalkeeper
Hometown/High School: Torrance, CA / Connections Academy
Club: LA Galaxy Academy
Career Highlights:

• Competed for both LA Galaxy's academy and for MLS Next Pro side LA Galaxy II.
• During his U19 career, averaged 0.49 goals against, allowing only six goals, while tallying seven shutouts.
• Competed in three U.S. Youth National Team ID Camps.
• Took home a UPSL championship title.

Other Notes:

• Named to his school's honor roll all four years of high school.

 
ETHAN MCNAUGHTON
Height: 6'1"
Position: Midfield
Hometown/High School: Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA / San Dieguito Academy
Club: San Diego SC
Career Highlights:

• Scored seven goals and 22 assists in high school career.
• All-Conference Second Team honoree at San Dieguito.
• Helped lead San Dieguito to a high ranking of 14th in the nation.
• Also added eight goals and 12 assists in his club career.

Other Notes:

• Mom, Adrian, played soccer at UC Santa Barbara as a right back and was a team captain as a senior.
• Graduated with a 4.3 GPA and was a National Honor Society member.

 
DONOVAN PARISIAN
Height: 6'4"
Position: Goalkeeper

Career Highlights:

• Back-to-back star champion during his high school career.
• Competed in the ECNL National Selection game.
• Named the regional starting goalkeeper for the National Premier Soccer League starting XI.

 
STEVEN RAMIREZ
Height: 5'11"
Position: Forward
Hometown/High School: Garden Grove, CA / Virtual Learning Academy
Club: Los Angeles FC Academy
Career Highlights:

• Began his club career with Strikers FC, before moving to LAFC at the U15 level.
• Led his team in scoring each of the last four seasons.
• Rated as a four-star prospect by TopDrawerSoccer.com.

Other Notes:

• Has been playing soccer since the age of three years old.

 
OLIVER RHOADES
Height: 5'10"
Position: Midfield
Hometown/High School: Huntington Beach, CA / California Connections Academy
Club: LA Galaxy Academy / Gil Vicente FC (Portugal)
Career Highlights:

• Earned time with Portuguese first division side Gil Vicente.
• Trained with A.S. Roma and Getafe CF academies.
• Spent a number of years with LA Galaxy's academy, traveling with the team to Croatia, South Korea and China among the many stops.

Other Notes:

• Also trained in jiu jitsu growing up.

 
OWEN RIECKE
Height: 5'9"
Position: Winger
Hometown/High School: Wailuku, HI / King Kekaulike HS
Club: Albion SC Hawaii
Career Highlights:

• Two-time first team All-State and All-Area in 2022 and 2023.
• Was named to the All-State Tournament Team and was selected as the man of the match in the state championship game.
• Won two league titles and a state championship in his high school career, while also winning a state club title with Albion SC and five league titles.
• Scored 28 goals and 11 assists over his last two years of high school and set the single season school record with 16 as a senior.
• Also was an active tennis player.

• Mother, Andrea, played softball at UC Santa Cruz.
• Graduated as the valedictorian with a 4.2 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society.

 
CADEN WESSLER
Height: 6'1"
Position: Defender
Hometown/High School: Highlands Ranch, CO / ThunderRidge HS
Club: Real Colorado (MLS Next Pro)
Career Highlights:

• Competed for Real Colorado as a center back under head coach Danny Bills.
• Played in the MLS Next Pro All-Star Game.
• Received Real Colorado's 'Chairman Award' for leadership, good grades and representing the club in a positive manner.

Other Notes:

• Sister, Alexis, plays Division I college soccer at Colorado College.
• Graduated as his class valedictorian, maintaining a GPA above 4.0 all four years of high school.
