SEATTLE, Wash. – Down a man and a goal, the San Diego men's soccer program (1-0-0, 0-0-0 WCC) rallied to score two goals in 14 seconds and defeat Seattle (0-1-0, 0-0-0 WAC), 2-1, on Thursday afternoon at Championship Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Right out of the gate, the Toreros came up shooting, and delivered a number of chances in the first 20 minutes.
- Mason Tunbridge and Christian Vigil each put shots on goal that were saved by Seattle goalkeeper Brady McSwain.
- Cesar Bahena created another strong chance, but rang his shot off the post in the 21st minute.
- However, an attempted clearance would backfire on the Toreros, as Seattle pounced on the loose ball and delivered a cross to Luke Hammond, who gave the home side an early 1-0 lead.
- The Toreros would take another hit early in the second half, as Ethan Warne was sent off with a red card in the 55th minute, leaving the Toreros shorthanded.
- Despite the situation, the Toreros remained opportunistic and made the Redhawks pay for some mistakes.
- A clearance by McSwain was stolen off the Redhawk defender's foot by Bahena, who connected with Tunbridge on a give-and-go.
- Bahena's feed back into the box to Tunbridge was all the preseason All-WCC honoree needed, as he powered around the defender and tucked a low grounder into the corner to tie the game at 1-1 in 61st minute.
- Almost immediately after the opening tally, Tunbridge was at it again, connecting on a give-and-go with Samy Kanaan, who beat McSwain in tight and scored just 14 seconds after the previous goal.
- From there, the Toreros shifted to a more defensive strategy to accommodate for the shorthanded situation, but were able to close out the victory.
