SAN DIEGO – The San Diego men's soccer program (5-2-1, 0-0-0 WCC) are back home after a brief road trip and will host UC San Diego (1-4-2, 0-0-0 Big West) for a 7 p.m., game on Wednesday night at Torero Stadium.    
 
LAST TIME OUT

• The Toreros earned several quality chances, but were unable to break through, falling 1-0 at Grand Canyon on Saturday.
• Donovan Parisian made three saves in net in the loss.

 
WHAT TO WATCH FOR

• The Toreros are opening the first of two games against their two San Diego-based rivals, with the next game against San Diego State set for Oct. 14 at Snapdragon Stadium.
• The game against UC San Diego is the last home non-conference game of the season, before San Francisco comes to town on Sept. 29.
• The Toreros rank second in the WCC and 10th in the nation in total points (51), while also ranking eighth in the NCAA in goals (16) and 11th in assists (19).
• In addition, the Toreros are eighth in the nation in goal differential (+10), 18th in assists per game (2.38) and 29th in points per game (6.38).
• Mason Tunbridge is 16th in the nation in assists with four and second in the WCC.
• The goalies have also been stellar, as Luis Ludosan and Parisian have helped the Toreros lead the WCC and rank 17th in the nation in shutout percentage (.500).

 
TORERO TIDBITS

• Tunbridge now has 27 points in his last 29 games, dating back to Nov. 5, 2021 against Pacific.
• San Diego is undefeated when scoring two or more goals and scoring first so far this season.
• The Toreros have only lost two games in the last three seasons when they lead at halftime.
