ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST DAYTON

• The Toreros are 11-16 against Dayton all-time but have won each of their last four games against the Flyers and seven of the last 10 total matchups between the two teams.

• San Diego last played Dayton on October 26, 2019, when it earned a big 50-38 win over the Flyers in Ohio at Welcome Stadium.

• USD last hosted Dayton on October 13, 2018, when it beat the Flyers 36-34 at Torero Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT: Princeton 23, San Diego 12

• The Toreros were limited to one early touchdown on a one-yard score from running back Isaiah Williams to cap off a seven-play, 50-yard drive in the first quarter. However, the offense struggled and managed only late field goals in a 23-12 home loss to Princeton.

How It Happened

• Princeton scored on its first drive of the game on a 20-yard touchdown pass. USD responded with a touchdown of its own by Williams with 4:03 left in the first quarter but missed the extra point.

• After both teams punted on their next few possessions, Princeton found the end zone again, this time from 32 yards out to take a 14-6 lead with less than five minutes in the first half.

• Heading into halftime, junior USD kicker Aidan Lehman made a 44-yard field goal with six seconds remaining, cutting the deficit down to 14-9 after two quarters.

• San Diego got the ball to start the second half but was forced to punt, leading to a third Tiger third touchdown that extended their lead to 21-9.

• USD answered with a 48-yard field goal before a safety for the Tigers made the final score 23-12 in the Toreros' last non-conference contest of 2023.

Notable

• True freshman quarterback Dom Nankil completed 21 of 38 passes for 208 yards while being sacked four times.

• Junior wide receiver Ja'seem Reed set single-game career-highs with 12 receptions and 105 yards.

• Junior wide receiver Josh Heverly recorded three receptions and 56 yards.

• Graduate linebacker Jayden Wickware led the way defensively for San Diego with 10 total tackles, a sack for a six-yard loss, and an interception.
