SAN DIEGO – The San Diego women's soccer program (1-7-1, 0-0-0 WCC) will play their first of two games against LMU (5-5-0, 0-0-0 WCC) in a non-conference tilt on Saturday at 7 p.m., in Los Angeles, Calif.
The second game will be a WCC matchup at Torero Stadium later in the year on Oct. 4.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Toreros held a lead for much of the game, but were unable to close out a win, falling 2-1 to California on Sunday.
- Katie Baxter scored her first goal of the season, on a terrific individual effort in the loss.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- San Diego leads 25-4-1 in the all-time series but will look to avenge a loss during last season.
- The newcomers have quickly inserted themselves into the offense, as three new players rank in the top-five on the team in shots (Olivia Stone and Lexi Zandonella-Arasa and Mikayla Abrenica).
- Several Toreros have found success against LMU in their careers, as Sara Evans recorded a brace against the Lions in 2021, while Baxter also added a goal against them in her career.

- The Toreros rank second in WCC in shot accuracy and rank 42nd in the nation, standing at .533.
- Sophine Kevorkian is currently in a tie for 10th all-time at San Diego in career saves, with former teammate Ellyn Casto (144). Next up is McKenna Tollack (151) in ninth.
- Kevorkian leads the WCC and ranks 36th in the nation in total saves (48) and 34th in saves per game (5.33).
