SAN DIEGO – The San Diego women's basketball program (4-13, 0-4 WCC) plays two more important WCC contests this week, hosting Pacific (10-7, 2-2 WCC) on Thursday at 6 p.m., before traveling north to face LMU (7-9, 2-2 WCC) on Saturday at 2 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Toreros hung with No. 16 Gonzaga for much of the game, but could not complete the comeback, falling 85-67 on Saturday night in Spokane, Wash.
- Veronica Sheffey delivered a sensational bounce back game in the loss, tallying 20 points for the second time this season, as well as well as two rebounds and two assists.
- Kylie Horstmeyer also added 10 points in the loss.

- The Toreros hold a 22-12 advantage in the all-time series against Pacific, but lost the last matchup in the WCC Tournament after sweeping both regular season matches.
- San Diego fell 71-57 in the WCC Tournament, after earning 84-74 and 74-67 wins during the regular season.
- The Toreros lead LMU 53-31 in the all-time series and have won eight consecutive games including both last season.

- A key determining factor for the success of the Toreros is the disbursement of scoring, as the team has won all four of their games when at least three or more players score in double figures.
- Sheffey ranks third in the WCC and 44th in the nation in assists (85) and 46th nationally in assists per game (5.0).
- Her start in the assist category is potentially historic, as only two Toreros have ever averaged over five assists per game over a full season (Amanda Rego (twice) and Lori Morris).
- In addition, Sheffey continues to rank among the top five in the WCC in free throw attempts and made free throws.
- Neubert continues to average nearly a double-double per game and has seven over 13 games this season. She ranks 31st nationally and second in the WCC in double-doubles.
- Neubert also ranks second in the WCC and 33rd in the nation in rebounds per game (9.8).
- Harsimran Kaur ranks second in the WCC in blocks (23) and third in blocks per game (1.35).
- Three of the team's four wins have come when the Toreros shoot over 50 percent from the field as a unit.
