SACRAMENTO — Competing in the team's second regatta in as many weeks, the San Diego women's rowing team put together a strong Saturday of racing in Northern California. Leading the way for the Toreros was stellar work from the program's First Varsity 4+ crew who won their race with a time of 19:51.9. 

The USD four was rowed by: Everett Melstrand, Jayden Soukoulis, Ali O'Dea, Kayla Baker and Sophia Bouvard.  

In total, the Toreros fielded eight boats against strong crews from around the Western United States. USD's Varsity 8+ team also turned in a top-10 finish by placing ninth with a time of 17:50.3.

USD's eight in that boat included: Natanya Ahadian, Grace Kaufmann, Ava Minney, Gigi Koerwitz, Addie Peebles, Annika Goodwin, Rebecca Donn, Skye Lang and Vivian Goretic.
