SAN DIEGO – The No. 13 San Diego men's tennis program (8-1, 1-0 WCC) welcomes their seventh PAC-12 opponent of the season, hosting No. 33 Stanford (6-3, 1-0 PAC-12) on Thursday at 1 p.m., at the Hogan Tennis Center.
 
LAST TIME OUT

• San Diego rolled to a dominant, 4-0 win over No. 41 Oregon on Sunday at the Hogan Tennis Center.
• The Toreros won the doubles point and got out to a fast start, with Oliver Tarvet earning a win over No. 103 Quinn Vandecasteele to power the Toreros to a win.  

 
OPPONENT HISTORY

• San Diego is 1-21 against the Cardinal all-time, last meeting the program in 2011.

 
WHAT TO WATCH FOR

• San Diego moves up to a season-high of No. 13 in the nation. The program record is No. 12 in the nation.
• The Toreros have had at least one weekly WCC award winner in four of the first six weeks of the season and swept three weeks.
• Tarvet leads the way for the Toreros in the national rankings, checking in at No. 5 in the nation in singles according to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings
• Iiro Vasa ranks No. 89 in the nation in singles, while Stian Klaassen and Sacchitt Sharrma check in at No. 12 in the country in doubles.
• Tarvet has already tallied two WCC Singles Player of the Week honors and has maintained a strong grip on the No. 1 singles position, entering the weekend at 19-3 overall.
• In addition, Tarvet and Vasa have won three WCC Doubles Team of the Week awards as a duo.
