SPOKANE, Wash. – The No. 22 San Diego women's tennis program (13-5, 3-0 WCC) continued their winning ways, downing Gonzaga (7-12, 1-4 WCC), 4-1 on Friday evening at the Stevens Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- For the third straight match, the Toreros steamrolled to the doubles point, as Claudia De Las Heras and Jordyn McBride led the way with a 6-1 win at the top doubles position.
- The depth of the Toreros would continue to shine as the team entered their singles matches.
- Filippa Bruu-Syversen and Abigail Desiatnikov built huge leads early in their respective matches, while Kailey Evans also took her opening set 6-2 at No. 3 singles.
- While the Bulldogs turned in a strong effort at both No. 1 and No. 2 singles, Bruu-Syversen and Desiatnikov cruised to wins to leave it up to Evans.
- Evans would go on to win her ninth consecutive singles match, cruising 6-2, 6-2 to wrap up the clinching fourth point.

- The Toreros will wrap up their road swing on Sunday morning, facing Portland at 10 a.m.
