SAN DIEGO – The No. 16 San Diego men's tennis program (19-3, 6-1 WCC) will conclude the regular season with an opportunity to win at least a share of the WCC regular season title, hosting LMU (11-9, 4-3 WCC) on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., at the Hogan Tennis Center.
LAST TIME OUT
- San Diego cruised to a 4-0 win over Gonzaga on Apr. 14 at the Hogan Tennis Center.
- The Toreros did not allow any completed set to get any closer than 6-4, as the Toreros picked up big wins at No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- A win in Saturday's match clinches at least a share of the WCC regular season title for the eighth time in the last 10 seasons.
- San Diego checks in as the No. 16 team in the nation according to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.
- Savriyan Danilov enters the week as the reigning WCC Singles Player of the Week, following a dominant showing at No. 3 singles for the Toreros in wins over Gonzaga and Portland.
- The Toreros have had at least one weekly WCC award winner in 10 of the first 13 weeks of the season and swept four weeks.
- Oliver Tarvet leads the way for the Toreros in the national rankings, standing at No. 6 in the nation in singles according to the latest ITA rankings.
- Vasa ranks No. 84 in the nation in singles, while Stian Klaassen and Sacchitt Sharrma check in at No. 54 in the country in doubles.
- Sharrma and Vasa are also in the national rankings for the second week at No. 74.
- Tarvet has already tallied four WCC Singles Player of the Week honors and has maintained a strong grip on the No. 1 singles position, entering the weekend at 24-5 overall.
- In addition, Tarvet has taken home five WCC Doubles Team of the Week awards, tallying three with Vasa and his last two with Klaassen.
- The sophomore is also 20-1 in doubles overall, including an undefeated record with Klaassen.

- Klaassen remains undefeated in dual match play, standing at 16-0 and 19-3 on the season overall.
