STOCKTON, Calif. – The San Diego softball program (15-32, 3-4 WCC) dropped a pair of tight games in a doubleheader against Pacific (15-29, 4-3 WCC) falling 3-0 in game one and 3-1 in game two on Saturday afternoon at Bill Simoni Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED – PACIFIC 3, SAN DIEGO 0
- The Toreros were able to threaten early, as Amanda Limon reached third base on a hit, error and sacrifice bunt, but they were unable to score.
- That proved to be costly for the visitors, as Pacific struck for two runs in the opening frame, despite the Toreros allowing no hits.
- That trend continued for the Toreros, as Mo Wimpee continued to throw a terrific game and went 4.1 hitless innings to open the game, but the Tigers got another run on a sacrifice fly following a walk to make it 3-0.
- Wimpee would ultimately allow just three hits over six complete innings in the circle.
- The Toreros were unable to generate much momentum the rest of the way, as Arisa Tovar tallied a sixth inning single, but the Toreros were unable to bring her home.

HOW IT HAPPENED – PACIFIC 3, SAN DIEGO 1
- The Toreros came out of the gate with more energy in game two and were the first to strike.
- Limon singled and advanced to second on a groundout, before Taylor Johnson drove her in with an RBI single to make it 1-0.
- However, Pacific had an immediate answer with a solo home run and an RBI single to take a 2-1 lead.
- San Diego nearly bounced back in the third inning, as they loaded the bases behind a Johnson single, Michelle Delgado walk and Emma Giaime hit-by-pitch, but could not tie the game.
- Delgado tried to spark a rally in the fifth inning with a double to left field but was also left on the base paths.
- After Pacific got another run in the sixth inning, despite brilliant pitching from McKenna Braegelmann, the Toreros got one more chance in the seventh.
- Tovar singled and Johnson doubled to put the tying run in scoring position with just one out.
- However, the Toreros were limited to just two groundouts the rest of the way to fall, 3-1.
