STOCKTON, Calif. – Sophomore

HOW IT HAPPENED – SAN DIEGO 9, PACIFIC 0 (F/5)
- In the series finale, the Toreros came out of the gate with much more energy and attacked Tigers pitching from the start.
- After Carly Ruiz reached on an error in the first inning, she promptly stole second and set up Taylor Johnson.
- Johnson immediately doubled over the head of the right fielder, driving home Ruiz for a 1-0 lead.
- Emma Giaime kept the inning rolling with an RBI single to right field to bring home Johnson and extend the lead to 2-0.
- Tadlock took the circle in the bottom half of the frame and immediately started off well.
- The sophomore tallied two strikeouts in the opening inning and kept the momentum rolling, with four groundouts and two strikeouts over the next two innings.
- San Diego would threaten in the fourth inning with a Mikalyn Emanuelli double but did not score.
- The flood gates would open in the fifth inning, as Amanda Limon singled and Ruiz reached to set up Johnson.
- The sophomore continued her huge season with a towering, three-run home run to left field to extend the lead to 5-0.
- After another Giaime single, Michelle Delgado kept the momentum going with her own, two-run home run to left field to make it 7-0.
- San Diego pushed for a run rule victory, as Shawnese Hogue-Lacy drew a hit-by-pitch before Alyssa Hernandez doubled her home to make it 8-0.
- For good measure, Limon picked up an RBI single as the Toreros batted around for a seven-run inning.
- Needing three outs for perfection, Tadlock was composed and opened with back-to-back strikeouts.
- On the very first pitch of the final at-bat, Tadlock got the Pacific batter to chase and fly out to complete the first perfect game in program history.
