MJ Knighten has added a fourth player to the program's talented incoming freshman class, signing
Emily Taylor to a National Letter of Intent.

Taylor joins
Mallory Axline (San Digeo, Calif.),
Sophia Pinedo (Montclair, Calif.) and
Alex Riggs (San Diego, Calif.) as new Toreros coming to campus in the fall. Â

EMILY TAYLOR
Position: Outfield
Height: 5'3"
Hometown/High School: Sacramento, Calif. / Del Campo High School
Career Highlights:
- A four-time, first team All-Conference honoree, Taylor was also named All-State honorable mention in 2023.
- During her club tenure with LTG Lions under head coach Joe Henderson, Taylor helped the team finish third at PGF Nationals in 2022 and earn two fifth place finishes at Colorado Sparkler Power Pool in 2022 and 2023.
- During her high school career, Taylor has been an on-base machine, hitting .454 with 36 doubles, 62 RBI and 42 walks, as well stealing 27 bases.

Other Notes:
- Taylor plans to study business and is a four-time High Honor Roll honoree in her high school career.
- Taylor also excelled in both soccer and flag football, earning All-Conference honors in both, while also being named Second Team All-Metro in flag football in 2024.
- The Sacramento, Calif., native comes from a highly athletic family, as her mother, Erin, was an All-American pitcher at both Sacramento City College and Texas A&M and her father, Craig was a pitcher at Sacramento City College and Lewis & Clark College.
