HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a quiet first few minutes, Olivia Jandreski helped generate some early momentum for the Toreros.

- UC Irvine turned the ball over in their own end and Maquena O'Callaghan jumped on the loose ball, before feeding Jandreski.
- The junior transfer tallied the first goal of her collegiate career in the 12th minute, powering a low ball past the outstretched arms of the Anteaters goalkeeper to make it 1-0 in favor of the Toreros.
- However, the Anteaters would not go quietly, delivering nine unanswered shots to end the half.
- One of them, from Laila El Behery, found the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1.
- Nevertheless, Ilise Medrano remained sharp in goal, making four saves in the first half.
- Both sides locked down on the defensive end in the second half, but the Anteaters continued to hold the shot advantage.
- Led by My Haugland Sørsdahl and Jenn Hashimoto, who each tallied 90-minute showings on the back line, the Toreros limited UC Irvine to just three shots on goal in the second half.
- Jandreski and Lexi Zandonella-Arasa each tallied shots in the final 10 minutes to push for a winner, but the Anteaters held firm to finish off the draw.
