SAN DIEGO — San Diego men's soccer (6-1-2, 0-0-0 WCC) dropped a 2-0 decision to Cal State Fullerton (3-3-3, Big West) on Sunday evening, as it fell in its final game of non-conference play in 2024 at Torero Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Cesar Bahena had the first scoring chance for the Toreros in the 16th minute when he unleashed a curling shot from outside the box that ended up missing just wide. 
• After Steven Ramirez earned a free kick outside the box for the Toreros, Luca Fava delivered the ball to the back post that found Mathias Bauer's head, but flew just over the crossbar for another scoring chance inside the 25th minute. 
• USD's next best chance came in the 36th minute when Samy Kanaan found Taj Eagleston with a through ball for a breakaway, but the shot was missed just wide.
• Fullerton responded in the 39th minute with a wide open shot on the edge of the six yard box, but an acrobatic save from Parisian kept the Titans off the board. 
• The Titans converted chances in the 64th and 79th minute to give them a 2-0 lead in the second half which they did not relinquish.  

TORERO TIDBITS

• True freshman Taj Eagleston earned the first start of his USD career.
• There were 13 total yellow cards in Sunday evening's contest between both teams.
• Fava led the Toreros with a game-high four shots, while Ramirez was just behind with three.
