  • Horstmeyer would continue her strong first half by knocking down another pull up jumper to make it a seven point game with 2:16 left in the half.

  • Coming back out of the half, San Diego got the scoring started with a Reilly made jumper after a steal from McCall to make it 40-32 USF.
  • Staying within striking distance midway through the quarter, Horstmeyer scored a layup at the 6:37 mark to keep San Diego within eight points at 42-34.
  • The Dons would continue their run throughout the quarter before USD scored the final bucket of the quarter as Hallie Rhodes made a turnaround shot with one second on the clock as the Toreros trailed 52-40 heading into the fourth.
  • Beginning the comeback attempt, Moore scored a layup off a nice pass from H. Rhodes to make it a 10 point game early in the quarter.
  • After the Dons built their lead up to 11, San Diego started to claw back with their defense as they turned up the pressure and forced multiple USD turnovers to get the score to 59-54 with 3:26 remaining in the game.
  • USD was able to get the lead down to three points, but the Dons were able to get enough separation to earn the 63-56 win on Saturday afternoon.
