SAN DIEGO – No. 29 San Diego Women's Tennis kicked off it's full weekend of three matches at the Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center with a 4-1 victory over the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Friday afternoon.
USD freshmen highlighted the day as Gabby Gregg clinched the win in single in three sets while Anni Puls dominated in a straight sets, posting a bagel in the first set and only dropping two games in the second.
Gregg contributed to the doubles point, too, combining with senior Claudia de las Heras to claim the doubles point as both them and the duo of Brionna Nguyen and Kristina Nordikyan grabbed 6-4 wins in quick succession.
In singles play, Puls was the first across the finish line followed by de las Heras on main court, who also cruised to came out on top 6-3, 6-2 and pushe the lead to 3-0.
Hawaii would pull back a point on court two, but Gregg called game, coming back from a dropped first set to win 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.

The T-Ros will take to the Hogan courts again tomorrow, facing the 35th-ranked Arizona State Sundevils Saturday at noon.
