Box Score SAN DIEGO — San Diego men's tennis earned its 16th victory and fifth shutout win on Saturday afternoon, as it kicked off its 2025 West Coast Conference campaign with a dominant shutout victory over Santa Clara at the Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center.

Savriyan Danilov and Adrien Berrut got the domination started in doubles competition, with a 6-0 shutout victory in number two doubles, before the No. 2 ranked pairing in Oliver Tarvet and Stian Klaassen clinched the point for USD with a 7-5 victory in number one doubles. 

Berrut was the first to get on the board in singles, defeating his opponent 6-3 and 6-1 in number four singles to extend the lead to 2-0. Klaassen quickly followed with a straight set victory of his own in number three singles, taking down his opponent with a pair of 6-2 wins. 

Danilov sealed the deal for USD with 6-2 and 6-4 victories in No. 2 singles, clinching the match for the Toreros. 

Neo Niedner, Nikhil Niranjan, and Tarvet's matches in number five, six, and one singles were all cut short when Danilov secured the 4-0 victory.
