HOW IT HAPPENED
- Braegelmann returned to the circle for her team as she got the start in the series finale and recorded a one, two, three top of the first to begin her outing.
- After the Beavers posted a zero in the bottom of the first, they scored the game's first run on a solo home run to make it 1-0 heading into the bottom of the second.
- Not waiting long to answer back, Hogue-Lacy came through with a one out opposite field triple to put a runner in scoring position. One pitch later, Alyssa Hernandez grounded a base hit up the middle that plated Hogue-Lacy and tied the game back up at one.
- Braegelmann continued her strong work on the rubber as she posted two more zeros in the third and fourth innings as the game remained deadlocked at one.
- In the bottom of the fourth, USD recorded their second hit of the game as Taylor Johnson grounded a base hit into right field for a one out base runner but San Diego couldn't plate the go-ahead run to keep the score tied.
- Oregon State would plate three runs in the top of the fifth as they built a 4-1 lead late in the game.
- Kaitlyn Bartlow took over in the circle for the Toreros in the top of the sixth as she put up zeros in both innings that she pitched to keep USD within striking distance as they trailed by three runs.
- In the bottom of the seventh, Hogue-Lacy recorded her second hit of the day to start the comeback but USD was unable to even the score as they fell 4-1 in the rubber game on Saturday afternoon.
