This offseason, the roster construction has undergone an overhaul of not only a promising freshman class, but a top-100 transfer class nationally – fourth in the WCC – that brings experience to Alcala Park.

"This is maybe the surprise of the entire [conference]," Unofficial WCC Hoops Pod host Zach Farmer said of the transfer class ranking. "When you start to look at this roster piece-by-piece, you know what, San Diego might have something going here."

The fourth season under head coach Steve Lavin – 'The Relaunch' – will kick off with a pair of exhibitions in October: on the 18th at home against Cal State Dominguez Hills and at San Diego State in Viejas Arena on the 29th.

On Nov. 4, the regular season will kick off with a five-game homestand in the comforts of the Jenny Craig Pavilion, starting with a matchup with Occidental College. On Nov. 7 the Toreros will host Idaho State for a second straight season and on Nov. 12, the Idaho Vandals, who USD also topped in the JCP last season.

As a part of the Acrisure Series during Thanksgiving feast week, San Diego will host HBCU Grambling State on Nov. 18 and UC Riverside on Nov. 21. The Toreros will then travel up to Palm Desert, Calif. for a solo neutral-site matchup in Acrisure Arena on Nov. 25 against Cal Baptist to wrap up college basketball's largest MTE.

USD's first road contest of the season will take it North on I-5 to face Long Beach State on Nov. 30 in the Walter Pyramid. To start December, the Toreros go to the Bay Area for a contest at San Jose State on Dec. 5.

On Dec. 19 USD makes the short drive to La Jolla to take on 2024 NCAA Tournament team UC San Diego in LionTree Arena. The Toreros' first trip of the season to Seattle and final non-conference road test will have them battling a B1G side, the Washington Huskies, on Dec. 22.

To conclude non-conference play, San Diego will play host to NCCAA Bethesda University during the team's West Coast Conference bye week, with the date still to be set. The 2025-26 Torero conference schedule will also be determined at a later date, while the home and away opponents were revealed in May. It's an 18-game slate that sees the Toreros face seven conference opponents twice, and the other four once.
