SAN DIEGO – USD Cross Country released its men's and women's 2025 campaign schedules were announced Tuesday by 22
nd-year head coach
Will Guarino.
"We are extremely excited for the season," Guarino said. "Our schedule will test us in competition, travel, and new racing opportunities. We have a young squad that will be tested to grow. I'm thrilled for the opportunities that are ahead for us."
It's a four-meet regular season slate with three postseason opportunities including the West Coast Conference Championships, NCAA West Regionals and ultimately culminating at the NCAA National Championships in Columbia, Mo.
The road to Columbia starts Friday, Aug. 29 in town at River Park, south of Snapdragon Stadium for the Aztec Coastal Classic with the men racing at 4:20 p.m. and the women at 5 p.m.
Thereafter the Toreros head up to Santa Clarita, Calif. for the Master's Invitational, taking place on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 20 in Central Park.
Then, USD will head east for a meet at a power five opponent, the ACC's Louisville Cross Country Classic in the Tom Sawyer Kentucky State Park on Saturday, Oct. 4.
The final regular season event sees San Diego compete in Riverside, Calif. for the Highlander Invite on Saturday, Oct. 18 on the UCR Ags Course.
The postseason commences with the WCC Cross Country Championships on Nov. 1 in Spokane, Wash. as both teams will look to improve upon their eighth-place finishes in 2024.
The NCAA West Regionals follow, on Friday, Nov. 14 in the Golden State capitol, Sacramento, Calif. at Arcade Creek. If the teams or individuals qualify there, they will have the chance to compete at the NCAA Cross Country Championships at Gans Creek in Columbia, Mo. On Saturday, Nov. 22.
