STOCKTON, Calif. — Taj Eagleston scored one goal and set up another, and San Diego took a season-high 24 shots in a 3-0 win over Pacific on Saturday night at Knoles Field.
The Toreros (7-3-3, 2-1-2 WCC) handed Pacific (3-8-3, 2-1-1 WCC) its first conference loss of the season and won a fifth straight meeting with the Tigers, all five by shutout. San Diego has outscored Pacific 11-0 over that stretch.
Kevin Pena, who scored twice off the bench against Portland a week earlier, made his first start of the season and set up Eagleston for the opener in the 14th minute. It was Eagleston's fifth goal and team-leading fourth game-winner of the season.
Eleven minutes later,
Steven Ramirez doubled the lead from the penalty spot for his team-leading seventh goal of 2026. He is 3-for-3 on penalty kicks this season.
San Diego outshot Pacific 9-1 in the first half and kept up the pressure after the break, taking 15 more shots and putting seven on target. The Pacific goalkeeper made six of his eight saves in the second half.
Even after going down to 10 men in the 87th minute, San Diego added a third goal 77 seconds later, when
Iain Wagner scored from outside the box off an Eagleston assist. It was Wagner's second goal of 2026.
Lucca Adams needed only one save, on Pacific's lone shot on target in the 55th minute, to post his second clean sheet of the season. The Tigers' three shots tied the fewest San Diego has allowed all season.
Eagleston and Wagner each had five shots, with two apiece on goal. Seven different Toreros put a shot on frame, and San Diego's 11 shots on target were also a season high.
