The loss ended the Toreros' seven-game winning streak in the series.
• San Diego trailed 28-10 less than a minute into the second half, after Lochow's 56-yard run on third-and-1, and 31-17 entering the fourth quarter before scoring 15 straight points. Criter's 1-yard run capped a 10-play, 70-yard drive with 7:15 left, and his 7-yard run finished a 94-yard drive that took 1:24, with Nankil hitting Cole Monach for the two-point conversion.
