SAN DIEGO — University of San Diego volleyball revealed its full 2026 schedule on Friday, a 28-match regular season that opens on the islands, runs through six matches against power-conference opposition and brings 13 dates to Jenny Craig Pavilion.
The Toreros, under Petrie, begin the season at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, one of the most storied home environments in college volleyball. San Diego meets Baylor in its opener on Friday, Aug. 28, faces Georgia Southern on Saturday, Aug. 29, and closes the weekend against host Hawaii on Sunday, Aug. 30.
USD then returns to Alcala Park for its home-opening weekend, welcoming SMU to Jenny Craig Pavilion on Friday, Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. before hosting USC on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 2 p.m.
A second road tournament follows at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe, Arizona, where the Toreros take on UC Davis on Friday, Sept. 11, host Arizona State on Saturday, Sept. 12, and Oregon on Sunday, Sept. 13.
San Diego wraps nonconference play with two more home dates: Arizona visits the JCP on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m., and crosstown rival San Diego State comes to Alcala Park on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. In all, six of USD's 10 nonconference matches come against programs from the Big Ten, Big 12 and ACC — Baylor, SMU, USC, Arizona State, Oregon and Arizona.
West Coast Conference play opens at home on Thursday, Sept. 24, when Saint Mary's visits Jenny Craig Pavilion for a 7 p.m. first serve. The 18-match league schedule features home-and-home series with all nine WCC opponents, and the Toreros' nine home conference dates follow a familiar rhythm — Thursday nights at 7 p.m. and Saturday afternoons at noon.
After hosting Saint Mary's (Sept. 24), Pacific (Sept. 26), Denver (Oct. 3), LMU (Oct. 8) and Pepperdine (Oct. 10) to open league play, USD makes road swings through Seattle (Oct. 15) and Portland (Oct. 17), then Stockton (Oct. 22) and Moraga (Oct. 24), before returning home to face San Francisco (Oct. 29) and Santa Clara (Oct. 31).
November brings trips to Denver (Nov. 7), Pepperdine (Nov. 12) and LMU (Nov. 14) before the final home weekend of the regular season, with Portland visiting on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. and Seattle U closing the home slate on Saturday, Nov. 21 at noon.
The Toreros finish the regular season on the road, playing at Santa Clara on Monday, Nov. 23 and at San Francisco on Wednesday, Nov. 25, with the NCAA Tournament to follow.
