USD: Fourth-year Torero will start on defense at the safety position... Selected 2013 All-PFL honorable mention... This past season led all Toreros in tackles with 90 (52 solo)... Chipped in with 3 pass breakups and 2 forced fumbles... Opened season with 11 tackles at Cal Poly... Later in season strung together three straight games with double-digit tackles - Butler (13), at Valparaiso (12), and at Morehead State (13)... In 2012 he played in all 11 games... Ranked 12th on the team with 27 tackles (15 solo)... Collected an interception in win over Valparaiso... Season-high 6 tackles in win over Davidson... Added 4 stops against Cal Poly and Dayton... Appeared in two games as a freshman while recording six tackles (four solo). HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Ernest Righetti High School where he was a three-year varsity letterman in football and baseball...Senior year earned Pac-7 and Team Most Valuable Player Awards as well as All-CIF, All-County, All-Area and All-League Honors...Also contributed to a Pac-7 League Championship title with 118 tackles and three interceptions...Junior year received Team Most Valuable Player, All-Area, All-County and All-League Honors after tallying 106 tackles and four interceptions...Sophomore year named Team Best Defensive Back with All-League Honors...Totaled 40 tackles and 11 pass deflections...While involved in baseball, earned All-League Honors.
