PERSONAL: Anthony Michael McIver was born on Apr. 8, 1992 in San Diego, Calif....he is the son of Davis and Mary McIver...was also recruited by Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Long Beach State, Washington, and Kansas...chose to attend USD because he believes it[apos]s a school with a great Division 1 baseball program, and it is close to home...he also believes that attending the University of San Diego will help him to grow in, and participate in his faith, further his academic endeavors, and play baseball at a Division 1 school under a great coaching staff...his father, David, played basketball at USD...notes he speaks Italian.
