HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball at Valhalla high school...as a senior, he hit .402 with two home run en route to a first-team All-East County selection...he also went 8-for-16 at the plate in the CIF playoffs in his senior season...as a junior, he hit .365 with three home runs, while also posting s 2.60 ERA ad having 44 strikeouts in 43 innings of work...as a junior, he was named first-team All-Grossmont South League, and named his team[apos]s MVP...as a sophomore, he hit .355 en route to an second-team All-Grossmont South League distinction...as a freshman, he hit .280 while playing on the varsity team. PERSONAL: Danny Hawksley was born on September 21, 1991 in San Diego, Calif....he is the son of Lisa Ayers and Jay Hawksley...was also recruited by Baylor, UCLA and Oregon...chose to attend USD because of the great academic reputation and the great baseball tradition.
