He is the son of Peggy Richan and Doug Richan
Was also recruited by UCLA, Cal State Bakersfield, Long Beach State, Cal State Northridge and WVU
Chose to attend USD because of the beautiful campus, along with the academic reputation and the outstanding baseball program
