JUNIOR (2009): Played in 23 games (17 starts) in first season at USD...went 14-for-49 at the plate, posting a .286 clip...recorded three hits in four at-bats while scoring two runs at Rice (3/15)...delivered a solo home run in game two of a doubleheader against Brown on 3/21...reached base three times at Cal State Fullerton on 4/21, going 2-for-2 with a walk. COLLEGE: Played at Cuesta College for two years...as a sophomore he hit .340 with 12 doubles and 40 RBI...helped lead his team to the 2008 Western State Conference North championship, and helped lead his team to the super regionals...was named first-team All-Conference as a sophomore. HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball for four years at St. Francis High School...helped lead his team to a pair of Mission League championships as a freshman and sophomore and to the CIF semi-Finals as a senior...was named first-team All-Conference as a sophomore. PERSONAL: Brian Andrew Farris was born on Feb. 25, 1987 in Long Beach, Calif....he is the son of Claude and Shirley Farris...was also recruited by Illinois-Chicago, Chico State and UC Santa Barbara...chose to attend USD because of the weather in San Diego, and because of the top notch baseball program.
