- Recorded 112 offensive rebounds, good for second best single-season offensive rebound total in USD history

- Scored in double figures in in all but 14 games with a season-high of 27 in the season-opening win over Cal State San Marcos
- Recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds against Montana State (11/25/14)
- Recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds against Weber State (12/6/14)
- Scored 10 points and had 10 boards in a win against Santa Clara (1/3/15)

- Was named All-WCC honorable mention, and named to the All-WCC freshman team
- Was second on the team in scoring with an average of 10.3 ppg
- Led the team in field goal percentage at .543
- Helped the team post a second consecutive 20-win season, and helped the team reach the second round of the WNIT
- Scored in double figures in 18 games with a career-high of 21 coming in a win against Loyola Marymount (2/14/13)
- Recorded a double-double with 12 points and a career-high 11 rebounds against Central Michigan (12/28/12)
- Recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds against Pepperdine (2/11/13)
- Scored 19 points against Boise State (11/30/12)...scored 16 points against both Pepperdine (1/26/13) and against Santa Clara (1/31/13)...scored 15 points against BYU (2/7/13)
- Scored 14 points against both Saint Mary's (2/21/13) and against San Francisco (2/23/13)
PERSONAL
- Earned four varsity letters in basketball while playing at nearby La Jolla Country Day
- Three-time first-team All-League, first-team All-CIF Division IV, and first-team All-San Diego County honoree
- As a senior she was named the CIF Player of the Year All-CIF San Diego section
- As a senior, she was also named to Max Preps first-team All-State, Cal-Hi All-State second-team
- Finished her career with 1,761 points, 1,076 rebounds
- As a senior, she helped lead her team to he CIF San Diego section Div. IV championship, to a state championship and Coastal League championship
- As a junior, she was named Cal-Hi All-State Division IV
- As a sophomore, she earned the CIF Sportsmanship award, and helped lead her team to a Coastal League Championship
- As a freshman, she was named second-team All-CIF, and second team All-League
- She also lettered in volleyball, where she was a All-Coastal League performer for three seasons
- Maya Hood was born on April 21, 1994 in San Diego, CA
- She is the daughter of Alan Hood and Karen Nared-Hood
- Was heavily recruited by Loyola Marymount, San Francisco, Boise State, Pepperdine, Nebraska, Portland, Saint Mary's and Liberty
- Chose to attend USD because she wanted to stay close to home, and USD just felt like the right place to be for her
- Notes she has never been outside of the country, but would love to travel to Brazil one day
- Her father, Alan, played football at Iowa State
- Her brother, Saron, played football at Buffalo
- Her cousin, Danny Scott, played football for the Cincinnati Bengals
- She has one son named Elijah
