Freshman (2005): Made 13 appearances posting a 1-1 record with an ERA of 10.29 while serving as a mainstay in the Toreros bull pen...recorded 12 strikeouts in 21.0 innings of work. High School: All-time leader in career wins and innings pitched as a prep standout at nearby Rancho Buena Vista High School... Named a Second Team All-Palomar League player as a senior, going 6-3 and posting a 2.30 ERA... Three-year letterman at RBV... Won all five of his decisions (5-0) as a prep sophomore... Then won eight games (8-4) his junior season... Coached by Steve Hargrave at RBV... Also reached the state championship game playing with the Orange County Dawgs club team. Personal: Born on October 29, 1985 to parents Craig and Terri... Was also an exceptional student at RBV, choosing to attend USD over Dartmouth and UCSD... Plans to major in Engineering with a minor in Business... Also an award-winning basketball player as a prep underclassman at RBV.
