Mark Carbone is a 6-2 guard from Wethersfield, Connecticut who led East Catholic-Manchester HS to the 2014 & 2016 CIAC Boys Basketball State Championships - Class M (`14) & L (`16) titles. In the 2016 quarterfinal round against Notre Dame-West Haven, Carbone scored 25 points. In the team's semifinal overtime victory against No. 3 seed Windsor, he scored 34 points with 26 coming after the halftime break. He closed out his season with 12 points, 4 assists and 4 steals in the championship win over Middletown. Stated Coach Lamont Smith, "Mark Carbone is a tough, proven winner, and his versatility on the perimeter will be very important to our team. Mark has helped lead his East Catholic High School team to two Connecticut State Championships. His strong values and work ethic, combined with elite shot-making ability, make him an exceptional addition to our program."
