2003-04 AT USD: This past season appeared in all 30 games with 12 starts. He started the season[apos]s first nine games, then started coming off the bench where he could provide instant offense with his outside shooting. Reached double-digit scoring in 17 games with a season-best 23 points against Southwest Missouri State (7-for-11 three-point shooting). Also notched 22 against Gonzaga, and 20 points twice (SMU & Saint Mary[apos]s). For the season he converted 79-188 three pointers and 35-of-48 free throws (.729). Besides his 7 three pointers against Southwest Missouri State, Brett also canned 6 treys against SMU and Gonzaga.
2002-03 AT USD: Sat out after transferring from the University of Illinois.
COLLEGE: Played two years at Illinois (2000-02) with team going a combined 53-17, winning two Big Ten Championships, and reaching the Elite 8 ([apos]00-01) and Sweet Sixteen ([apos]01-02) ... last season appeared in 7 contests, making 4-of-8 treys and 5-of-11 shots ... freshman year saw action in 18 games ... scored 8 points against Kansas State ... scored 7 points in win over Michigan.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Mahomet-Seymour where he averaged 18 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3 assists for his high school career ... averaged 24.9 ppg senior year ... was a Top-100 by Bob Gibbons ... Champaign-Urbana News Gazette 1999 and 2000 All-Area Player of the Year ... 1st Team All-State senior year; 2nd Team All-State junior season ... as a junior set News-Gazette Holiday Tournament record with 112 points in 3 games, making 22 of 35 three pointers.
