Study table provides the student athlete a quiet environment in which to study and it is expected that each participant will provide other student-athletes the courtesy of keeping distractions to a minimum. The main focus of the study hall is to help develop consistent and appropriate study patterns by providing a structured environment in which to work on class assignments, and to provide tutorial assistance before academic problems arise.
Student-athletes who are required to fulfill study table hours must check in and check out using the Academic Support Center kiosk. Required and completed study hall hours can be viewed on the mySanDiego / My Academics page of the portal. The page updates in real time and resets each week. The student-athlete is responsible to ensure hours posted are accurate. If there are any discrepancies please discuss them with the study hall supervisor immediately. Study table hours are sent to coaches at 3pm on Friday. No changes will be made after this point.
Student-athletes may not sleep at any time or arrive unprepared (without books, notebooks or other materials needed). No browsing the internet, social media, watching videos or movies unrelated to a class assignment. No loud talking, yelling, profanity or horseplay will be tolerated. Students-athletes who are causing any disturbance will be asked to leave; time accrued will not be recorded and coaches will be notified
