JUNIOR (2011): Named first-team All-WCC with 48 game appearances and 47 game starts at 1B/pitcher...batted .330 (62-for-188) with two homeruns, one triple and 13 doubles...totaled 29 RBIs, 27 runs scored and 14 stolen bases...had a 6.23 ERA with 4 strikeouts in 4.1 innings pitched...batted .400 against Winthrop with two RBIs, two hits and one run scored (2/19/2011)...went 3-for-4 with three double and one run scored against New Orleans (4/2/2011).
SOPHOMORE (2010):Appeared in 54 games (40 starts) seeing time all around the infield... Helped lead the team to the 2010 WCC Championship...Compiled a .260 (39-for-150) batting average with 24 RBI, 25 runs scored, and a team-leading eight home runs... Had a surge to start the season in his first game he had a season-high five RBI against Indiana (2/19/10) while going 2-for-4 with a grand slam and two runs scored... In the next game against Indiana (2/20/10) he had a season high four hits in his perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate while also belting a double and scoring two runs... went 3-for-5 with one double and one home run against Gonzaga (4/25/10)...went 3-for-6 with one home run and one RBI against Cal State Northridge (5/24/10)...also made three pitching appearances, tossing 3.0 innings of relief work.
FRESHMAN (2009): Played in 39 games, including 34 starts...Collected 39 hits in 131 at-bats, posting a batting average of .298...Drove in 38 runs for the Toreros, the second-highest total on the team...named to the All-WCC freshman team...Made six relief appearances, as well, allowing five earned runs in 10.0 IP...Established a season-high in RBI with 5 on 4/25 vs. Portland, a game in which he went 3-for-5 at the plate with 2 R, a 2B, and a HR...Closed the season with a 10-game hitting streak...Also managed a hit in 14 of his last 15 games of the season, batting .356 (21-for-59) with 16 RBI over the 15-game span.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters in baseball while playing at nearby Grossmont High School...helped lead his team to three Grossmont North League championships and four CIF Division II championships...as a senior he hit .306 with nine home runs and 30 RBI en rout to earning first-team All-Grossmont North and second-team All-CIF distinction...as a junior he hit .408 with 10 home runs and 39 RBI en route to a second-team All-State underclassman, a first-team All-League and a first-team All-State distinction...as a sophomore, he hit .370 with seven home runs and 36 RBI and was named first-team All-League, first-team All-CIF and was named the Rookie of the Year for the Grossmont North League.
PERSONAL: Bryan Haar was born on Dec. 9, 1989 in San Diego, Calif....he is the son of Tim and Joanne Haar...he was heavily recruited by Cal Poly, Pacific and UC Santa Barbara...chose to attend USD because of the great baseball program and because of the academic reputation of the school.
