Ray McIntire

Ray McIntire enters his third season with the San Diego Baseball program as a volunteer assistant coach in 2021. McIntire has helped USD to a 44-25 (.638) record in his two seasons with the Toreros.

Prior to USD, McIntire spent three seasons (2016-2018) as Arizona Director of Operations. He was responsible for coordinating all team travel and meals, maintaining the team's operational budget and other administrative duties.

McIntire was responsible for on-campus recruiting for the Wildcats, organizing visits, leading tours and handling the logistics of the visits. Arizona's 2018 recruiting class was ranked 11th in the country and first in the Pac-12 by perfectgame.org

In McIntire's three seasons at Arizona, the Wildcats were the only Pac-12 program to make back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. The Wildcats also led the West Coast and Pac-12 in attendance each of those seasons.

Prior to Arizona, McIntire spent two years at the University of Nevada, one as a volunteer assistant coach (2014-15) and the other as the assistant director of baseball operations (2013-14). In 2015, Nevada posted a 41-15 record and captured the school’s first-ever Mountain West title with a 22-6 mark in league play. The Wolf Pack was ranked in the top 25 for much of the season and totaled a 13-1 record in series of at least three games. The 41 overall wins ranked second in program history.

While at Nevada, McIntire helped with player development, team travel, and other administrative duties.

He also served as an assistant coach for the Peninsula Oilers in the Alaskan Baseball League during the summer of 2014.

McIntire played as an infielder on the Wolf Pack baseball team for three seasons and graduated from the University of Nevada in 2013 with his Bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies. He earned his Master's degree in sports management from American Public University.

McIntire is a native from Winters, Calif. and is the son of Dave and Kathy McIntire. He and his wife, Eva, were recently married this winter.
