SOPHOMORE: Attended Chandler-Gilbert Community College, but took a medical redshirt. FRESHMAN (2012): Played at Cypress College. HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Mountain Pointe High School...as a senior, he was named All-Region honorable mention, tabbed the Arizona Pitcher of the Year, named All-State in Arizona and earned a spot in the All-Star game...as a junior, he was recognized as an All-Region player...helped lead his team to the State semi-finals as a sophomore and junior...as a senior, his team was the state runner-up. PERSONAL: Joey Rocha was born on Oct. 27, 1992 in Downey, Calif....he is the son of Sheryl Rocha...chose to attend USD because he wanted to study architecture, the amazing baseball program and to become a part of the Torero community...notes that he enjoys playing beach volleyball, swimming and hiking.
